Drive In / Drive Thru Racks

For cost-effective, high-density storage, drive-in / drive-thru racking is often the best choice. Requiring fewer aisles, and providing better cube utilization than selective rack, drive-in / drive-thru rack allows you to store up to 75% more pallets than selective racking. Because forklifts drive directly into the rack, drive-in / drive-thru racks are subject to more abuse than any other rack structure. The drive-in / drive-thru rack is engineered and manufactured to better stand up to the punishment.

  • Drive-in / drive-thru racking can utilize eitherSK3000® structural channel or SK2500® bolted tubular uprights
  • Load rails are constructed of durable structural angle steel.
  • Load rails feature a flared entry design, allowing for easier bay access.
  • Space-saver low profile arms increase clearance and decrease possible product damage.
  • Welded rail stops prevent loads from being pushed off and improve safety.

Structural Channel Pallet Rack

structural channel pallet rackWarehouse pallet racks constructed of hot rolled structural channel have long been known as being extraordinarily capable of withstanding the wear and tear of the toughest environments. This has always made structural channel pallet rack popular for use in freezers, coolers, and distribution facilities. Today, with intense competition forcing nearly every company to increase throughput, the structural industrial storage rack has become a popular choice in many different industries. Craft is no stranger to structural channel pallet rack design, having been in the material handling business for over 35 years. Armed with this considerable experience, there are features incorporated into the SK3000® structural channel pallet rack that are proven to increase its strength and durability. These design improvements differentiate SK3000® warehouse pallet rack from other structural racks, resulting in even lower maintenance costs, increased safety, and a longer service life. This difference can give you a competitive edge in your industry.

  • 3", 4" or 5" Channel Columns
  • Factory welded frame construction - full horizontal and diagonal bracing
  • Heavy-duty 7 gauge footpad, welded to column, with multiple anchor holes

For certain applications, the durability of the boltless SK2500® tubular column warehouse rack is adequate, but in other environments the extra strength and safety of a bolted pallet rack connection is preferred. As an example, in drive-in, pushback, die storage, coil storage, or flow rack installations, bolted industrial storage connections add a great deal of security to the industrial storage rack structure. For these installations, Steel King has developed the SK2500® bolted pallet rack. Tubular columns and bolted connections for greater rigidity in heavy duty applications.

Boltless Pallet Rack

For years, boltless pallet racks have been popular, due to quick assembly without tools, and a low purchase price. However, many users have found that the open-back roll formed columns do not withstand the inevitable fork truck impacts, thus any initial savings are more than offset by high maintenance and replacement costs. Craft has developed an industrial storage rack design which retains the benefits of a boltless pallet rack, while offering substantially more durability with the Column Core safety feature; the SK2000® Boltless Pallet Rack series. SK2000® retains the industry standard "tear-drop" connection, and is in fact interchangeable with the majority of industrial storage rack systems in use today. However, a closed tubular column shape is utilized. Independent engineering tests have confirmed that SK2000® isre on SK200o® Bolted Pallet Rack.

  • 250% More Frontal Impact Strength Than a Comparable Open Back Column
  • 44 Times More Torsional Strength (Resistance to Twisting)
  • 68% More Side Impact Resistance
  • Three Rivet Connection With 26% Greater Strength Than Two Rivets
  • High Strength Closed Tubes For Frame Braces and Step Beams
  • Powder Coat Finish - 12 Standard Colors

Because of these benefits, not only are many buyers of new warehouse racks opting for the new tubular design, but many users of existing open back (roll formed) boltless rack are now replacing their damaged upright frames with new SK2000® boltless frames. Because SK2000® rack uses the same "tear drop" connection, these users are able to accomplish this upgrade while reusing their existing load beams, decreasing their cost. To make your SK2000 even stronger, there is a optional damage protection available with Column Core, making your SK2000® Boltless Pallet Rack five times more impact resistant at the front corners and sides where the upright is most vulnerable.
